Fingerwoven Bracelet Inspired by Native Practices (green)
These bracelets have been dyed by hand using Native inspired natural dying methods. Madder, logwood, and spinach were used to create the vibrant colors of these bracelets. The bracelets were then created using a process called fingerweaving, also originating from Native practices. Each bracelet is handmade with love. All proceeds of these bracelets go to the Tuscarora Nation in support of their culture.
Each color represents a different Native cause. Red represents MMIW (missing and murdered indigenous women), purple represents sovereignty of Native nations, and green represents land stewardship and nature.
These bracelets are made by a student for a capstone project in Native American Literature with the goal of supporting Native nations and spreading awareness about Native issues.
